Christmas Candy

With Christmas almost here, and all my presents wrapped under the tree, I’m in a gift giving mood…how about a stamp set giveaway for you?  Read all the way to the bottom of the post :)

I was in the mood for a fun boy birthday card design, so I pulled out Flourishes new Lots of Thoughts set that I love so much and stamped the little cupcake three times onto Flourishes Classic White card stock - thinking of my little nephew who will turn three in the new year.  I have some cute Echo Park paper in my stash that I bought this summer - All About a Boy.  It has awesome fun patterns and colors to play with.  I coloured up the cupcakes to match the paper with copics, I just love the polka-dots in the design of the cupcakes liners :)

Because of the cool design in the lighter blue paper I took out my Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Classic Windows die and cut out a shape for behind the cupcakes to accent the design, then finished it off with some cute open circles with enamel dots inside and some cute twine.

Here’s the inside of the card, sentiment inked with Memento Tangelo ink.

And now how about the Blog Candy?!  I’m giving away this great set Lots of Thoughts !

Here’s how to enter:

Leave me a comment on this post, just one per person.  Tell me some favourite Christmas memory you have or some memory you’re wanting to make this year!

If you leave your email address it helps me contact you if you win.

I’ll draw a name December 30th and post it on the blog then, just in time for New Year’s!

Fun cupcake image :) Love the colour combo too. Favorite Christmas memory we created this year was going through Ann Voskamp's Advent devotional - HIGHLY recommend it. Powerful and definitely brings Advent to the forefront of a busy time of year. Loved it!

Love your cupcake card. I love how you used that banner shape behind the image. I will try to remember that idea for future cards. A favorite Christmas memory is when my son, at age 4, got up at midnight, thinking it was morning and time to see what Santa had brought him. We had a terrible time getting him back to sleep. He was trembling with excitement when he saw the toys under the tree!!! He is now 39 years old and as precious now as he was then. :)

Love your cup cake card - great idea for cards for guys. My favourite Christmas memory was when the kids were little. Everyone would come to my home to visit. Now with them grown up I rarely get to see everyone each year

Love your cup cake card. Such a great idea for those hard to make guy cards.

My favourite Christmas memory is when the kids were little. Everyone always came to our house to visit. Now with them all grown up I am lucky to see them even once a year - as most are on the west coast and I am on the east coast.

After so many years have gone by, my best memory was when my four siblings & I decorated the tree, Christmas eve, singing carols and putting our presents under the tree all together. Nice to see blog candy that I have the chance to win, most are in the States and we don't have a chance. Have a Blessed Christmas and enjoy your family. Hugs n' Stuff, Lynne

MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MEMORY? Is the Christmas when we moved to the Country! We got a BIG SNOW that year & the kids LOVED IT!!! They went out & threw snowballs at each other, & played & when they came in, I had HOT COCOA & COOKIES for them! They sat by the fire & warmed themselves & munched away! It was a Christmas to remember & like something from a Currier & Ives!!!! We were making SPECIAL memories!!!! :)

What a sweet card!!! I love this stamp set!!

Let's see... Christmas memories... probably the year my brother and sister hid my stocking and left a note from Santa saying I'd been awful so I didn't deserve one doesn't count, huh??

I think one of my best Christmas memories will be spending time next to my Mom's hospital bed this Christmas. It will likely be her last Christmas with us, and I will treasure every moment.

Have a blessed Christmas, Christine!

What a darling cupcake card!!.
When my son was 4 ( he is 28 now) he had opened one of his Christmas presents and put it back together again. when Christmas morning came and we opened presents he opened that one and said " Oh boy that is just what I always wanted" as if we didn't know he had opened the night before. That is my favorite memory!!

that is just way too cute and I love the idea of doing the background, image and your brads all in three's for the age he will be turning. Hope I can remember that the next time I do a younger child's birthday :)
My Dad just passed away last Christmas and right now that is what is foremost on my mind although it isn't a favorite memory, but I will have to say that having our daughter in December was a wonderful gift since it took us so long and a lot of infertility meds to get pregnant, so that would have to be my favorite.

Every 2nd year, we travel to Manitoba to spend Christmas with the inlaws. One year, my father-in-law at the farm decided to surprise my children with a snowhouse. He froze food-coloured water in ice cream pails and then built them a 7 ft. igloo. When we pulled into the yard there was this amazing ice-house, complete with a little heater inside to keep them warm. It was -30 the whole time we were there, but the kids were toasty warm in their "little" house. My father-in-law has since passed away, but my now-grown children still remember the ice-house that grandpa built them for Christmas. It's just one of the many fond memories they have of him.

Love all your cards! I like the idea of stamping 3 of an item. One of my favorite memories of Christmas is making peanut brittle. Both sides of my family make sure to remind me every year that they want peanut brittle for Christmas (now my neighbors always mention it too!) so I must make lots of peanut brittle every Christmas!!

Darling cupcake card, love it.
My best memory of Christmas was when my daughter and son were young, I let them put some ornaments on the tree, they would add the ornaments and stand back and see if it was okay or not. Some times they would change the ornaments 3 or 4 times. Now I have to do the tree myself and I wish they were here to do it with me again.
Thanks for a chance to win some Christmas Blog Candy. It is very generous of you to offer it.
Christine, enjoy your Holiday with your family and friends.

Cute card, love your copic colouring. I'm still working on that skill. My favourite Christmas memory that happens every year for us is that our daughter who is 21 but mentally is still around 5 or 6 loves to plan for Santas visit and all that Christmas entails. Her delight and excitement is our delight and excitement and it is a memory we can treasure forever.

What a cute fun happy card! Love this set. I think my favorite Christmas memory is the yearly tradition when I was little of bringing out the book "The Littlest Angel" and snuggling up with Mom for a read. That book was precious to me as it was given to me by my older sister who passed away suddenly long before her time.

Cute birthday card! Every Christmas is special to me so I'm not sure if I can pick a single memory. One tradition I do is an annual Christmas picture of the kids in front of the Christmas tree. I cherish these because I know soon they will be on their own and I may not be able to take them in the coming years.

Love your cards. Favorite memory is the entire family helping my MOM cook Christmas Day Dinner. Everyone had assigned jobs. This year I made new memories by staying up late talking with my two nieces. Thank you for all that you share throughout the year.

My favorite Christmas memory is about the first gift I ever gave my Mom. I was 3 or 4 and my aunt took me to buy my Mom a Christmas present. We got a set of swans that sat on your dresser. We went home and wrapped it in a Kleenex box. I could not wait for Christmas morning for my Mom to get her gift. That was such a precious memory for my Aunt to give me. My Mom is now gone and the aunt is in very poor health. I sure love them both.

Very cute cupcake card! My favorite Christmas memories are the ones we make each year with all the grandchildren. We were so blessed this year with our 5th grandchild and are happy he is doing so well since he was born 12 weeks early. We also just found out our other son and his wife are expecting this spring so next Christmas will be very fun too.

Beautiful card! Love your coloring as always! My favorite Christmas memory is when I learned how to un-tape the packages under the tree with my brother, then peek inside to see what the presents were. Then taped them back in place, and on Christmas morning, my brother and I acted like we were SO excited to see our gifts! Parents never knew! My brother and I would laugh for days because we thought we pulled one over on Mom and Dad. But we found out years later, as adults, when we had kids...when they said "don't teach your kids to open the presents before Christmas like you did". What???!! The joke was on us ! Hope you had a great Christmas and best wishes for a great New Year
