New Release - Star of Bethlehem

Well dear stamping friends, the sneaks are over and we're taking the lid off Flourishes' October Release! Are you ready to see all three of these sets in their full glory? Well, they are all live, right now, in the Flourishes store HERE!

Now on to our final offering, one that is a gorgeous display of botanical beauty!

Named after the star that lit the way for the birth of Jesus, this beautiful star-shaped flower embraces a meaning of purity, hope and happiness. Illustrated by Marcella Hawley, this set offers a beautiful and sweet scented way to ring in the Christmas season. This 4 by 6" set also offers four scripted sentiments perfect for your seasonal creations!

I was thinking about the night sky and the star that would have lit up the sky leading the shepherds and wise men to Jesus, so I wanted to combine a deep blue with pretty yellow for this card.  I began by using the Silhouette Cut File for this set cutting from Flourishes Classic White cardstock and then stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then in coloured it up with Copics giving the background of the flowers some deep blue.  The designer papers are Echo Park Reflections that I chose for their tones and the elegance of the patterns, all this is on a base of True Blue Cardstock.  I also embossed the sentiment in gold, which you will probably recognize as lyrics to the Christmas Carol "We Three Kings".

For accents I added some Gold Metallic StringSequins, and some True Blue Seam Binding.

And now, Flourishes is also unveiling something else that's new...... just in time for Christmas!
