Hope You Can Cling To

Hi all! As you know, October is a month where moms, sisters, friends, aunts and daughters unite to tell our "sisters" to remember to raise breast cancer awareness and take care of their personal health. Well, it's also a time when you can send a card to someone affected by breast cancer. It's a time when your creations can actually help save lives! Today, we're unveiling a handful of challenges you can take part in to help others THINK PINK! And, that's why we've decided to make this challenge the focus of our Release Week Challenge! Simply play along in the Think Pink Challenge!

This is a nice clean design, but if you look carefully I made good use of this stamp Think Pink - Fight Like a Girl set in the different components of the card.  The "be-ribboned" lipstick is stamped on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black and mounted on Classic White as well. I've colored it with Copic Markers, and outlined the Spellbinder's shape with Kaiser pearls.  I've also stamped the ribboned hearts from the set and the many women in our life on to the Bo Bunny Garden Girl patterned paper with Memento Rosebud Ink.   I've edged the words with the Classic Bracket Edgeabilities die.  Finishing it off with some pretty Iridescent Ribbon.

HOW TO PLAY: Make a card with a pink flair and you'll be in the running. After you make your creation, simply link it up on the Flourishes Blog using our Inlinkz widget. Play as many times as you like. Use Flourishes stamps if you have them but if you don't, play along anyway -- you could win some sets (five new sets to be released next week!). You have until October 12th at 5PM EST to enter! If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword FLLCOCT12.

JOIN COPIC OZ! If you make a pink creation and use Copic Markers, you can also join the gals over on the Copic Oz blog as they raise funds for the McGrath Foundation to support those affected by Breast Cancer. For EVERY card entered, $5 will be given to the McGrath Foundation thanks to X-Press Graph-X, our Australian distributor for Flourishes. You have until Monday October 29th (AU EST). And, the winner will be announced on Tuesday October 30th! The winner will receive Flourishes' Think Pink stamp set along with some other goodies! Click HERE to learn more!

JOIN SCS! This month, Flourishes is joining dozens of stamp manufacturers and card making retailers along with Splitcoaststampers for the Hope You Can Cling to month for breast cancer awareness. Each day this month, there are challenges with some fabulous prizes on the line -- including a $100 gift certificate courtesy of Flourishes! But, the most important piece of this month is the donation of cards to the MD Anderson Cancer Center. These cards can be sent with encouraging words or can be sent blank, so that families have a way to write notes to their loved ones in care. Instructions on how to send cards are a part of each of the challenges! You can click HERE to learn more about the Hope You Can Cling to campaign! So you see, there are many ways to touch lives this month and you can enter all of them by just making a card or two! So, get those fingers inky and pink! And, when you're done, link up your creation here. What a way to share your time and talents to impact others!

Thanks for stopping by & Happy Stamping!
